We strive to not only get the right people on the bus, but get them in the rights seats!
In 2025 the company revamped our structure a bit, added additional capacity to our Development team, and brought in more EPC project managers, further ensuring that our projects run smoothly from concept to completion.
Internal Moves
Laura Parkes has been with us for more than a year as an EPC project manager. She oversaw the construction of our first site with single-axis trackers. She’s now using her skills to help the Breakaway development team get our early-stage projects ready for construction.
Erik Edstrom has been a key part of the R&D team for several years, but most recently has been using his skills to help our development engineering team. His technical background is a real asset when it comes to navigating interconnections and equipment choices.
Stefan Isenberg was brought on as our Warehouse Manager, but is shifting duties to more work in the field getting the critical components to the construction sites when we need them. So we do have an open warehouse/procurement position!
Jo Anna Young is taking the lead on the development permitting process and has the new title of Legal Operation Manager with focus on legal analysis. Her diligence ensures nothing slips through the cracks!
Kristin DeDiana has assumed a leadership role in Breakaway and will be responsible for overseeing development operations. As our Breakaway Operations Director she is keeping projects on track and streamlining our processes.
Kevin Davis and Geoff Martin are working together to build our development pipeline. Seeking early stage projects and reaching out to landowners to find suitable sites for new projects, especially in New York state and Maine.
Harold Craig has been busy filling our Norwich Solar pipeline with EPC work. He successfully bid on XX projects with a total of xx MW of new solar!
On the admin side, Lisa Baker has held a long tenure here and wears MANY hats. Because of the hard work she does to keep us organized and all of the wheels on our collective bus turning, Lisa has been promoted to Office Administration Director.
New Hires
2025 was a year of strong growth for NT. We hired SIX new people. We welcomed Jennifer, Rachael, Paul, Chase, Jeremy, and Eric.
Jennifer Walker joined our Norwich Solar team in April as a new Business Analyst to help manage finances at the project level. Having been in renewable energy since 2010, Jennifer is well versed in the Also Energy PowerTrack software as well as NetSuite and is specialized in SaaS recurring revenue. We know Jenifer from working with her in her previous role at Also Energy. She is passionate about analyzing customer and market trends and finding ways to enhance profitability while aligning with environmental sustainability.
Rachael Chicoine was hired as Development Project Manager in our Breakaway Renewables division. Her work in renewables began in 2018 and includes experience in residential and commercial solar. Rachel’s roles have covered everything from construction to development, procurement, sales and project management. Her first contact with Norwich Solar was when she worked for a company that helped us with a rooftop solar project at Dartmouth College in 2020. Rachel was eager to join our company because of those personal connections. She had always heard good things about us and was looking for a stable growing company with a positive work environment.
Paul Laferriere is our new Lead Electrician for RunTime Solar. Paul has been in energy and renewables for over 20 years! His connections to the Norwich Solar team go back a couple decades to when he worked at Northern Power with our General Manager Charlie Van Winkle. Paul looks forward to growing and learning in his new role, and intends that RunTime will be his final chapter of his extensive career..
Chase Von Tersch is our newest EPC Project Manager on the Norwich Solar team and is our first team member to be officially based out of our Brunswick, Maine office. He has over four years experience managing solar and battery installation. His hands-on experience and leadership across various solar projects make him a valuable asset to the team. Chase brings a diverse and dynamic background to the Norwich Solar team. He is a proud U.S. Army veteran with ten years of service, and Chase’s professional journey spans several high-impact industries, including heavy civil construction, railroad, and underwater welding and salvage. He’s excited to be part of Norwich Solar and looks forward to growing with the company for years to come. Chase is one of the few recent hires that had no prior connections to Norwich Solar!
Jeremy Goldman joined our EPC team and is based out of Maine. He studied Environmental Studies at St. Michael's College in VT. He's been working in the solar industry for nine years, primarily focusing on residential PV and battery installations.
Eric Phaneuf joined us in the new role of Corporate Counsel. Eric is a Stowe resident and previously worked with Aegis in Waitsfield during the major growth years of Vermont’s net metering program. He is licensed in Vermont as both an attorney and a real estate broker, and he’s also an avid skier, outdoors enthusiast, and dog lover (as many of us are). While Eric will be reviewing major contracts and agreements, and project-managing the wide range of legal matters across both the corporate and project levels. Eric’s role adds dedicated internal capacity to support that work while still coordinating closely with our outside counsel.
Good Byes
We said “farewell” to Matthew Kittredge, who moved on to another company. And we said, “see you around on the regular” to Martha Staskus who is working with us on a consulting basis while she focuses more attention on her company Vera Renewables.
