We are fortunate to announce several well-qualified people have recently joined our team to support Norwich Technologies steady growth and vision for the future. Rounding out teams across all of our divisions, Norwich Technologies now boasts a staff of 44 people.
As a company, we are committed to recruiting a diverse pool of candidates while ensuring alignment with the skills and experience required for each role. Given the relatively small size of both the New England region and the renewable energy sector, it’s not uncommon for us to come across individuals with whom we share prior professional connections. This has been the case with several of our recent hires.
Jennifer Walker joined our Norwich Solar team in April as a new Business Analyst to help manage finances at the project level. Having been in renewable energy since 2010, Jennifer is well versed in the Also Energy PowerTrack software as well as NetSuite and is specialized in SaaS recurring revenue. We know Jenifer from working with her in her previous role at Also Energy. She is passionate about analyzing customer and market trends and finding ways to enhance profitability while aligning with environmental sustainability.
Rachael Chicoine was hired as Development Project Manager in our Breakaway Renewables division. Her work in renewables began in 2018 and includes experience in residential and commercial solar. Rachel’s roles have covered everything from construction to development, procurement, sales and project management. Her first contact with Norwich Solar was when she worked for a company that helped us with a rooftop solar project at Dartmouth College in 2020. Rachel was eager to join our company because of those personal connections. She had always heard good things about us and was looking for a stable growing company with a positive work environment.
Paul Laferriere is our new Lead Electrician for RunTime Solar. Paul has been in energy and renewables for over 20 years! His connections to the Norwich Solar team go back a couple decades to when he worked at Northern Power with our General Manager Charlie Van Winkle. Paul looks forward to growing and learning in his new role, and intends that RunTime will be his final chapter of his extensive career..
Chase Von Tersch is our newest EPC Project Manager on the Norwich Solar team and is our first team member to be officially based out of our Brunswick, Maine office. He has over four years experience managing solar and battery installation. His hands-on experience and leadership across various solar projects make him a valuable asset to the team. Chase brings a diverse and dynamic background to the Norwich Solar team. He is a proud U.S. Army veteran with ten years of service, and Chase’s professional journey spans several high-impact industries, including heavy civil construction, railroad, and underwater welding and salvage. He’s excited to be part of Norwich Solar and looks forward to growing with the company for years to come. Chase is one of the few recent hires that had no prior connections to Norwich Solar!
Welcome to all of our new staff! We are now even better prepared to navigate the ever-changing landscape of renewable energy. We plan to remain focused on steady growth by continuing to develop, build and maintain solar projects in Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire and New York.
